Basic Info BioMy destiny is to start Miga Hill Ostrali, a sustainable subsistence household farm in Australia. We will rear ducks and geese, and the occasional black sheep. I share my journey with a certain vegetarian, tree-hugging, fucken mung bean-eating, lotus-pose-sitting, no-fur-wearin', recycled-dunny-paper-wipin', veggie-patch-diggin', home-brew-swiggin', om-chanting, soy-drinking hippy, aka The Tofu Masticating Hippy. Tofu (or Toaf) for short.

In search of truth and self-discovery, the adventurous, inquisitive and sometimes fragile and despondent Vasco circumnavigates his world from the comfort of his amphibious club armchair, accompanied by his ever faithful direction finding duck (who always points toward new joys).
"What is worth doing and what is worth having?" asks Vasco of his friend Mr. Curly.
"It is worth doing nothing and it is worth having a rest", advises the sagacious Mr. Curly. "In spite of all the difficulty it may cause, you MUST rest Vasco - otherwise you will become RESTLESS!"
In Leunig's work, the duck often plays the role of gentle observer, reminding us of the importance of the purity, innocence, beauty and fragility of nature. For us, our loopy ducks have been a source of limitless joy. Plus, our direction-finding duck is real. This is Bools, our much-loved and much-missed itik duck in Nias. She now lives with our former neighbour, Gary (whose real name is Ari).
